Default Turret Tank (centaur?) Question

When I fire, the sound effect appears to be going twice as fast as the lasers are visually firing. Anyone else have this happen?

If so, which one is the truth?

I'll give it a try sometime. That's good to know though. I'll think of the lasers as tracers then.

The Centuar behaves oddly in general for me. The laser thing and also the steering. Sometimes it'll be facing the wrong direction as I drive forward.

Any vehicle on the paladin chassis can suffer from steering issues such as driving sideways

Any vehicle can have positioning issues due to a client/server discrepancy. It's most apparent on the Paladin chassis, but it will be painfully obvious with any vehicle if you switch seats while it's still in motion. If you switch back to the first seat and wait, it will move back. The server will always overrule whatever the client sees.

As for effects issues, you can fix this by raising your frame rate (netspeed).

ut2004.ini MaxClientFrameRate=127/125 (HPET off/on it's off if your normal FPS is 85)
Make a keybind for Netspeed=10001

Don't trust the tracers of the minigun and laser turrets. Look at where the hit markers are.

Yeah I just realized the minigun tracers are a lie about a year ago. Oh man does it make a difference to actually hit my target... who would have thought!
