I have never really understood Randomizer. I appreciate that people want a variety of vehicles, as do I, which is why I especially love the Kamek version of MTMU. It insures a wide array of choices for vehicles, but without the chance of every vehicle being the same one, which I do NOT like. I find it irritating when everyone has an Arbalest or a Dragon.

I think Mr. Crow's issue with Randomizer may be that, as he has stated on many occasions, it has "too many" redeemers. I am not especially passionate about this particular issue, but I may be inclined to agree that two suicide nukes and two redeemers are a bit much. I think one redeemer would be better, placed right in the center of the map so both sides have equal access and can fight for it.

Actually, I like Randomizer and here's why:
1. If I am forced to play an MTMU, at least it is one changes enough to be interesting- different node layouts and different vehicles.
2. I like the tournament version of all of the same vehicles because it changes the 'experts'. It levels the playing field on vehicle skill (although I do think the vehicle selections need some tweaking... maybe no supers (ions, megabagders, etc.).

[evil idea]How about we put all the MTMU variations into this one map. Then it can only be played once every five maps, you keep all the maps so to speak, and it varies each time you play it![/evil idea]

I do agree that Randomizer has too many Deemers... either the timing on them needs to change or the number of them has to be reduced.

Randomizer has 2 problems:

1) The all vehicles are the same rounds usually get very tedious very fast.

2) The plethora of nukes & hoverboards make raising an enemy primary practically impossible meaning every round goes to OT. And that once you knock an enemy primary down the strongest strategy is not to try and build it, but to camp it from a distance. zzz...

Other than that, I like it quite well for the variety of node layouts and vehicle choices.

So it seems a few players see what I see. Too many redeemers ruins gameplay; so can we "fix" it?

One man's fix is another man's break. Kinda random I know, it just popped in my head when I read that *shrugs* I dunno. Maybe I'm just unconsciously predicting a patternistic outcome.

removing the suicide redeemer and replacing it with an Ion Painter would be a great idea.

And increasing the number of times a Tiamat spawns would be nice

I would agree with Mr. Crow's sentiment. BTW, wasn't there a poll a few weeks ago about what to do with Randomizer map?

I've been playing around with the vehicle randomizer actor, and made a few changes based on popular opinion:
- The arena mode frequency has been significantly decreased.
- Suicide 'deemer respawn time has been doubled to 120 seconds.
- The two redeemer pickups have been replaced with ion-painters.
- The stealth badger has been removed due to it increasing lag. The spawn frequency of the regular badger has been increased.
- The Lobreaker will spawn a lot less, and the Goliath will spawn slightly more often.
- The Tiamet will spawn slightly more often.
- Wormbo's Basilisk is now in the map and spawns as often as the Cobra.
- All weapon lockers now have all the basic weapons + the grenade launcher and AVRiL.
- I copied my reinforcement architecture from Nightwolf, so Hammerheads and hoverboards should no longer get stuck in the ditch.
- Added another soundtrack to the list.

Turbo, can you just make it so that the map reads the minds of the people playing it and just spawns the vehicles that they want?
