Default Tie-Breaker MTMU poll

Randomizer, Kamek and Minus-)o( were the top three in the other poll.

#4 has to be decided.

This poll is only open for four days.

I would really, really hate to see Badgermeup go. It's the only map with the wide array of badgers available, and a lot of fun.

Agreed, although it could use a couple of tweaks.

I love the work to update Nightwolf but if I have to choose just one, it would be Badgers. Nightwolf gets a few couple points off though for the Stormcaster that gets spammed at the cores and goes through walls. The others are fine but I think are represented by the Kamek version.

I agree. If Nightwolf wins, every MTMU will have Hurricanes on it.

EDIT: Is it possible to change my vote from Evo to BadgerMeUp?

Nightwolf is the only map that has the Nexus missile tank in it, that's why I voted for it. Badger me up is good too. I don't know, maybe it would be an option to increase the cooldown so that the mtmu maps can all stay? Another option would be to create a thing-a-ma-bob that would not allow you to play mtmu maps back to back to back.?

Do people actually like the Nexys tank? If so, I can put it on certain maps instead of always using the Arbalest.

I think players do like the Nexus, the high damage it can produce and low health for the tank make it fun. A prize that is difficult to get and a challenge to keep alive.

I've heard people complain that the Nexus produces an awful lot of lag, though. Perhaps a refinishing or update is in order before it's added to any other maps.

It does. When the nexus war head hits, it takes about 4 seconds for the effect to play out. In that time, you get locked in place and cant move. I just cant remember if it
only affects you if you are on foot or not.

That thing could probably just let everyone and every thing die instead of going through the effort of applying lots and lots of damage. The explosion consists of 5 redeemer-like damage origins, but they apply their damage over a ridiculously large radius. (up to 7000UU from the center, up to 3500UU from the 4 outer damage origins) I could imagine those large radius checks may take a bit to perform, but that's serverside-only. On the client, there's this incredibly complex emitter effect. One part of that consists of 300 sprites that are spawned at the same time and are quite large. This part of the effect can already affect performance in a very bad way, but it's not the only effect. A total of 15 particle emitters produce various amounts, densities and sizes of particles, most of them sprites.

I can't see that it creates lag through bandwidth usage, but both the client and the server seem to get a lot of work to do while the explosion logic and effects play.

Bandwidth is bandwidth. Getting the data out to the pipe is the issue I think ??
