Default Do you communicate with others while in game?

The few that I know by name or reputation are the ones that communicate in-game the most.

How do you communicate?

0. Doesnít listen to game audio. Full deaf mode. Oblivious to everything even explosions and gun-fire.
1. Never says a word, text or chat.

2. Only texts. Iím a mute.
3. Only does voice/chat. Iím a Chatty Cathy.

The fun part for me is the people Iíve played with for years and years here:
1. When I see them replying to comments in the forum, I hear their voice in my head.
2. When I see their Facebook profile picture from the user group, it doesnít match anything I had in my head previous. If I saw you all on the street I wouldnít recognize any of you.
3. I have to do a lookup from their Facebook name to their in-game name, so I know who it is.
4. I know how they are going to react in-game to situations, depending on how the game is going for them, whether they are about to rage quit, etc.

I do both text and chat. Depends on what I want to say or what I'm doing.

Chatty Cathy, lol. The reason OMNI became such a community.. just joking.

True, true.. some people just have the imagination of the person way off from what they actually look like but some others can imagine others quite close.. that I'm astonished at their abilities!

When I looked Enyo up on Facebook out of curiosity, he did look nicer in person that what I imagined. I mean, he looked SO HAPPY with his 2 kids. I thought he was just an asshole. And his beard looks awesome! Turns out, his face isn't just an ass.

Enyo is the new GTKU, somebody's gotta teach em, haha!

Missing Guy's words of wisdom and motivation here. Would tell it like it is, no holds bar. How else they gonna learn.

Tell you what, if the zombie apocalypse hits, I absolutely want to be around Guy. He's like Negan on Walking Dead, he will survive.

"I am Negan!" Damn, he's one of the most unique actors around, and probably one of the most memorable ones as a result of that. I wish he would replace Jimmy Fallon on Tonight's Show - then I'd actually laugh more often like I did with Jay Leno. Jimmy Fallon's just for the girls.

Would our power grids really withstand extreme EMP bursts from the sun (that didnt occur for well over a century), not to mention massive mid-air EMP nuclear bombs from China or Russia as pre-emptive strikes? 99+% of Americans' lives are literally plugged into the electrical socket - unplug it, and you get the picture. We turn onto each other - way worse than zombies ever could. Bank accounts disappear in thin air.. gas pump stations won't pump gas for ordinary drivers - the gas would only be looted by the heavily armed marauders, because the army won't properly function for a while with such limited communication in midst of overwhelming chaos. Most vehicles, aircraft, and ships would be disabled with damaged electrical components. All computer chips are fried. Even large-scale farmers themselves won't know how to grow a well-rounded garden of sufficient variety and resilience with mostly irrelevant one-dimensional equipment that they have. The Amish would be laughing their asses off until the armed marauders take them by gunpoint and force them to teach them the ways of independent living. Over 98% of all gasoline in America containing ethanol goes bad after about 2 years, due to water accumulation thanks to ethanol - stored gasoline in containers have shorter shelf life than canned food. 3/4 of the population is already wiped out in far less than 6 months due to lack of clean water, immediately available food without refrigeration or transport, and sheer mayhem among quickly localized factions or mafia gangs led by the gun-toting rich folks.

Our lives are just so plugged in, while we take everything for granted! As we frag each other online for the sheer pleasure of it every day, imagine what a Texan ranger with 30 AK-47's would do if we each had a wake-up call from our half-asleep state of dreaming like in the Matrix?

How do you know we're not living in the matrix... this guy says we probably are.

Here's a guy who claims to have seen keys just bend by themselves in his hand:
Quote:
For example, the author has occasionally bent keys (photo of bent keys at right) without any conscious effort to do so. In one case, a key bent in my hand as I was looking at it. It felt like the key momentarily turned to soft plastic and after it finished bending it solidified in place. Similarly, other researchers have witnessed other anomalous events in their everyday lives, events that must have a cause. And since both the Aether and physical reality begin with level 2, the cause must be explainable at level 2, if the event is real.

"3. I have to do a lookup from their Facebook name to their in-game name, so I know who it is."
- I used the list compiled on Facebook, printed it and had it near my imac when I was playing a while ago. I have to reprint it, as the place got rearranged.

that's some serious dedication. for the most part you all sound the same so when people use a different alias I just assume they're an asshole.

Neither does...

"look out behind you"

"mino there's a badger right there"

"look out for that guy at the node"

"to our right, to our right"

"visible badger coming at you!"

I'd rather guys like Man of Steel just not say anything.

Other phrases that will nominate you for the "Most use-less verbal communication skills award".

1. I died.
2. I'm going to 7.
3. I'm taking the Dragon.
