I should probably just rename it to LinkMeBot so it's not as confusing. "xLinkMeBot" just stuck out as a class name since I was expanding on "xBot".

I also have a bad habit of prepending "x" to some of my class names since a lot of Postal 2 multiplayer classes are named "x"-whatever, and Postal 2 was the game that introduced me to the engine, so.

Ok, I saw it in action for the first time recently.

No idea how it's calculated currently that the bot reports the vehicle, but there should be something that prevents the bot from reporting the same vehicle at the same location if just a little time has passed since the last report.

I only heard a bot report the Paladin or Aegis, no other vehicles for now. Are the vehicles rated in a way or is that coincidence?


Another thing that should be overworked is the mentioning of close Nodes in the report. That currently is problematic in maps that have the location names set up properly. If the enemy vehicle is close to the Core and inside the location volume of that Core, then the message is "Enemy Aegis Near Blue PowerCore near Blue PowerCore", which is rather bad.

Maybe the Mutator could make a check to see if the vehicle is in a Volume whose Tag matches the AreaVolumeTag of a GameObjective and if that is the case, just avoid mentioning the closest GameObjective as addition to the location name.



And while being at the topic of GameObjective rather than PowerCore: I think this Mutator could also be fine in VCTF. There wouldn't be any Nodes to heal there and the linking of vehicles is not as important as in ONS (actually they should only prefer linking the vehicle of the flag carrier and otherwise follow their usual behaviour because it's more important to kill chasers, the enemy flag carrier and to attack and defend the bases), but reporting enemy vehicles across the map could be fine here as well.
Maybe you can consider VCTF in this mutator or create a new one that supports the bot reporting? A new one would be better imho as the linking is really not that good and important in VCTF.

* Fixed bot reporting based on locationname/near power node, so it shouldn't do something like "Enemy Mino Near Blue PowerCore Near Blue PowerCore" if the word "core" or "node" is in the location name
* Bots won't try to link vehicles in non-Onslaught games
* Fixed something else that I don't exactly remember and probably wasn't very important

Out of curiosity, what version of ONSPlus is the server running? I want to do some testing to make sure this is squared away before I bring up the possibility of submitting this to the wrecking crew for the server. EDIT: Nevermind, it's listed plainly on the server info page

V1 uploaded; first post updated with the download link. Most of the issues have been worked out, but I had to remove the "wait for a human before speeding off in your team's vehicles" feature, as I was unable to make them actually STOP and wait.

Have to report a bug (I wanted to post it for so long, but I always forgot after the match ):

The location speech always says "PowerNode 0" for the closest Node instead of the Node's number on the radar map (and obviously there is no Node 0 in ONS).
