I don't know if this is related, but when we played Gunshop tonight, there was much less lag then usual. There was one point where all weapon animations disappeared, but it lasted for only a minute or two instead of the whole match like usual.

Crash tonight between maps. AlienHop had just finished, then it crashed to 2Fast instead of the voted map.

don't know if it helps but the file "evenmatch" which is tiny, does not seem to be on the redirect (I'm guessing) as it takes a really long time to download for its size

if you have deleted it by clearing the cache

Looks like the server is down, at least the last hour it has been in accessible

I tried to ping 208.79.234.80 and it answers back, so maybe the server sw is crashed big-time

Hope it is up soon

I second this experience, it over-downloaded itself by a 1000% as I recall.

I blame Pi for this one. V2b2 (currently on the server) was not on the redirect. It is now.

The server was acting weird a little while ago. About 12:20a CST. It wouldn't show up in the browser and then when it finally did it showed 4 players with scores that looked like they had been in there for awhile. I tried to spec but it stuck on the connecting screen. Then when I did get in I asked and Remus said it had been acting weird for him also.

Does that happen every time or just occasionally. I think we all get the occasional crash like that; I know I do.

I'm not sure, I had to restart my computer to get ut2k4 and AJY working.

I also have connection drops that prevent me from reconnecting to the server for like 10 minutes. Can't figure out if it's windows or my router. It happens with legacy quake too.

I get that crash (usually same error) on other maps occasionally as well (I got it on Alienhop the other night). The larger randomizer maps (Arctic, Dria, Minus-Kitchensink) are pretty huge with lots of taxing vehicles and projectiles. Its probably pushing the engine limit.


Windows 10? Which renderer? Can you post a clean log?


The error doesn't seem to indicate a particular vehicle or weapon...so it may or may not be related to something map specific. If we can isolate it to a particular vehicle or weapon I can remove it.

WIN 10. Playing the 32 bit version. I believe this has happened on the 64 bit version, too. Been using Open GL lately, but it was happening on the default one, too. D3D, Not the D3D9 one. I could never get D3D9 working even after downloading the file on that other thread that was posted in the MIA forums. I only get this error on any version of the MTMU map and now the artic randomizer map, but not the original version of arctic. As I've said before, it's not always the case, but it only happens when joining the server when the map is already in play. I've never had a crash if I've been playing the previous map and we then go to MTMU or arctic randomizer. I need to start checking number of players, too. Maybe it only happens when there are over a certain number of players on the server. I can play all of these maps offline just fine.

Just look for people coming in as "playerxx" where the x's are numbers. After four or five tries, I can usually get in but end up being player 21 as an example. I can also see "provert" still on the server for a bit after the first crash. You will notice you will see this more on the MTMU maps, and I've seen other players with this name on arctic randomizer. This started happening within the last year, and my current build is about 2 yrs old. So, either it is either being caused by a windows update, which we all know can screw things up, or something new on the server end.

You could check your system/ut2004.log file to see if it logged any error codes for the map.

I'd delete all those files it says it failed to load along with any antitcc files you have.
