Everyone should be thankful that we still have good, caring mappers around like Turbo, or as I call him... "K".

Anyway, he's been at it again.

Map is now on the server, available here for pre-download if you're interested in saving playing time.

Turbo will chime in shortly to explain any changes/differences/improvements.

And thanks to WMD40, without his exhaustive and detailed testing of every map, my life would become a nightmare.

@K : sorry for the long delay in getting this on the server. I regaled you with excuses in my PM to you, but wanted to apologize again.

The primary objective of this map was to replace the old Badgers and Mino with the newer ones.

Other changes include:

Brand-new vehicle loadouts.
Special powernodes with a whole new layout. The near primary nodes are now inside the little buildings like in the non-TMU version of Grit.
Various optimization changes.

Bonus: Instead of the useless nuclear mine-layer you get as a reward for completing the trials in the back of the map, I've
added something more....effective...

Credits:

Wormbo for his hovertanks, railtank, and ONS-Specials.
Kamek, Gorz, LIPRampage, and whoever else created all the vehicles used in the map.

Couple thoughts on the new version... maybe its just me, but it seems like a lot of nodes... Also, I noticed that the hammerhead seems to spawn halfway-intersected with the platform it's on. I checked it a couple times and it seemed consistent that it spawned that way. I was able to free it but it took some doing.
Cool to see the nepthys on another map... it's a lot of fun. Just wish it was a bit faster.

What happened to the omni GRIT map? I chose the grit map that was on the list and it was the nightwolf (I think) but it was the DW map. Is the OMNI grit map gone or what?

Alright, the version on the server is an older version that I had submitted to TWC awhile ago.
The new one with all the bug fixes including no more stuck Hammerheads or staying alive after falling through the map
should be on instead. I renamed it to avoid confusion and sent TWC a link so hopefully it will be on soon.

When you sent stuff to the fish man make sure you use a really large font so he can read it

Actually, the version TK sent was what got put on.

Now the version he wanted on (which he resent) is on.

I like the teleport shock rifle. I use it sparingly to make sure I have enough shots to go through the trials by teleport instead of actually doing the trials. Its also fun to take out a minotaur with it... Can teleport around it and switch to the super rocket launcher or fighting people on foot. Nice addition. thanks.

Can we edit in the nerf'd trans (the one with 2 or 3 shots)?

The map is not fun for 99% of the players if 1% can get to the gun.

I can do it if you don't have time, and approve.

I have made this edit. Only change is the TransLoc now only has 3 ammo.

I will wait to submit to the TWC in case anyone chimes in with any changes they may want, and will submit it on Tuesday night this week.
