Due to a huge outcry for this map...

Wait a damned second, no one even considered something like this. Hmmm.

Sorry about the miscommunications... these two were actually intended for the MTMU-only server, not the main server. I wouldn't dream of making the main server crowd play FOUR MTMU maps in a row.

It's a riot. Gun 2 throws the goo! Badger??? farts and has unknown acceleration noise. Giant badger (can't remember the name) has good tweaks after the mino platform. The hoover badger ... N1 etc ...

edit: keep the hover-badger stupid but fast. big recoil is good.

Nice one !

I just love the hover badger, but the gun recoil takes a bit of getting used to.........

was in the enemy core, and got blown back into the shaft, which was a cool place to shoot from as the recoil could not send me back any further !!

Oh, Stinger... gameshots don't need to be 7000x7000, 800x600 usually suffices and keeps things more compact.

I played it last night and loved it. It's good to see this type of innovation.

It's basically a Kamek daytime map (nice and clear skies no fog) and everything is a badger avatar with mino, manta, goo tank, ion tank, etc properties. The physics is a bit interesting. The hoover (manta) badger was fun right up until I needed to shoot someone with it multiple times. That recoil is annoying because it keeps pushing you backwards until you are out of range.

I was in the mino badger and the enemy mino badger shot next to me. I guess the badger is a light weight vehicle because the force of the blast boosted me and my mino badger tank up in the air and I landed on the curved structures outside the enemy base at the primary node. I had some nice clean shots at the enemy base for the win!

The hoverbadger cannon is pretty weak for its recoil, yeah. I'll probably beef up the Hoverbadger for the next version -- a bit more HP and some more power on the cannon.

Hopefully by then I'll have the Fire Badger implemented and maybe a few others

Why do the old looking gold badgers have gas problems? They fart when you get in and out of them.

Yeah, it came out kind of quiet for some reason. I'll have to boost the volume for the next version, which is well underway (Link Badger, anyone?)

so the question is... can we put this up on the main server for a little while?... we're really digging it.

suggestions:
Palager(paladin/badger)
Ballager(ballista/badger)
Arbalager(arbalist/badger)
FireBadger(need i say more?)
Cobadger(cobra/badger)
HellsBadger(hellhound/badger)

and the final... possibly the greatest one of all:

AntiGravityBadger-set up like the spider 1st seat gets a longbeam, 2nd seat gets the anti gravity cannon.


on another note... i like the 'Badger???'(which it like the original beta version still on DW but w/out the funny noises) changing seats makes a farting noise i swear i spent 10 minutes riding around switching seats next to everyone- "IT WAS MEEEEEE" (Jim Carrey, Liar Liar)

funny shit, i was driving the super badger and i got shot by the other superbadger and i flew high in the sky and almost landed on the top of the building by node 8/9 lol

also, i love the ionbadgers skinwork... that thing looks super sexy!!!

kamek, you've done some awesome work around here. the community thanks you!(and so does my inner child!!!)

I just need to say that this map is a whole shitload of fun. Super fast-paced. You can turn the game around in just a couple minutes single-handed with the ion badgie.

It's fun, I like it. But what is wrong is the map enviroment: the graphic looks like washed out. No shadows? Check out the beautiful original: http://www.filefront.com/3839432/ONS-Minus-ECE/ Have you rebuilded the lighting? The same problem has the "night" version of Minus, shining static meshes.

I'm probably not going to add too many more Badger variants. I've got a Link Badger done (a major hassle converting the linktank over, plus I gotta fix the alt-fire so it works online), as well as a reverse Badger where the driver controls the cannon instead of the minigun, and I'm probably going to add a Fire Badger. Badger-lista and Badger-lest might happen, but I think that'll be all. That plus the improved Hoverbadger (a bit more armor and firepower), Ion Badger, Bio Badger, Stealth Badger, and Badger???, and that's more than enough Badgers for this map
