Map Preview Image During Voting?
Hey is there an easy way we can have map preview images for voting? If it's easy to add, I can definitely make screen shots of each map some night after the server clears out and send them to whoever.

Tonight I went through and skimmed through the unpopular maps since the server was empty and found a whole bunch I've forgotten about. Perhaps simply being able to see that preview while on the voting screen will help get the lesser-played maps used more? There's some good stuff in there.

It's just hard to keep the names straight on maps that get played once every few months. I'm personally less likely to vote for them because I just can't match the name with the map on at least 1/3 of them and don't want to waste a vote on a crappy map just because I got the name wrong.

I've never noticed, but does the in game map voting screen even have a field to display an image preview?

I't already there. Rightclick on the voting screen (default X) than on the poup window. You will see the same if you would click on a map in single player mode.

Ah never noticed this, thanks. Unless this just my memory messing with me can't this also appear in a small box on the main window?

Would be cool but I doubt you will get someone to edit the UI to include a screenshot.

This is another argument for longer voting time, imo.

One of the mappers can weigh in on this, but I'm pretty sure it's built into the maps themselves.

That's the way it is for TDM/Deathmatch maps, no reason to think ONS maps are any different.

You have to have the map installed in order for the previews to work as it pulls the screenshot texture out of mylevel. Look into LDG's voting menu.
