Server Crashes 2.0
 
This is the new thread for reporting server crashes.

If you want your gaming experience to NOT include crashes, YOU are part of the solution.

If the server crashes when you are playing, please take the time to report it in this thread.

Map played, date and time (Eastern Standard) should be reported along with anything else you
think is pertinent. If the crash occurs on a map change/vote, please include the map that
was previously played as well. Oh, and please specify the server since we have an ONS and
an Assault server running.

The more information provided the better the problem/issue will be able to be isolated.

Second crash on Wed 2013-10-23 ~9:10p
 
I believe it happened on the map Dria v4(?... the new one with the bigger walls) after we finished playing, at the end of the match (long one too). Just as everyone was about to vote.

Map was over an hour long before it finally went down.

I don't know what a segmentation fault is , but can that be fixed?

Dimshade beat me to that last report of a crash, I left the game to report it right away and he had just posted the crash report!

(Warning, tech babble ahead!)
After looking at the segfault again, the "Unreal Call Stack" part looks a bit confusing. I can't see how that top "UObject::ProcessEvent <- ULevel::DestroyActor" combination is possible. ProcessEvent is the call to an UnrealScript event and DestroyActor is the native code that disposes actors - stack context suggests it's a PlayerController here. As far as I can tell, DestroyActor only calls UnrealScript events inside additional "guard blocks". (Those define the individual items of the Unreal Call Stack, maybe an overzealous compiler optimizazion is to blame here.) Also, assuming this happens on map change, the game shouldn't actually call anything UnrealScript anymore. ProcessEvent would have to return early in that case, so early that I can't see what exactly should cause a segfault in there.

tl;dr: I have no idea why it segfaulted, but the info doesn't look right.

There was a crash yesterday I forgot to report so not sure on the details. I think it was Dria-TMU. Late afternoon or early evening. Right about the 1:11 time where a lot of crashes happen.

I can confirm the crash last night. I don't remember exactly when it was, but it was an abnormally long Dria-TMU match, if that's anything.

Funny story: that match had been going on for over an hour (I think somewhere around 1:15 total time), and I was surprised the match had lasted that long without crashing. So was someone else (I believe Marine Corps Sgt.), who said over the voice chat something along the lines of "Wow, I'm surprised the map hasn't crashed." LITERALLY RIGHT AFTER HE SAID THAT, THE MAP CRASHED. It could not have been two seconds after he said it that it went down.

Lesson learned, people: if you don't want the map to crash, DON'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT CRASHING.
